Funding for rural businesses still available

If you are a farmer, commoner, existing rural business or are contemplating starting a new enterprise within the New Forest and need money to finance some aspect of your business, you may qualify for a business grant to assist in your investment. For example:
  • You might need to purchase new equipment and a grant would help towards this.
  • You may be seeking to move from home into commercial premises and need a contribution towards fit-out costs.
  • Learning a new skill to enable you to 'grow' your business may be your priority and a grant might enable you to achieve this ambition.
  • You might need to buy in the advice of a marketing specialist, designer, or other professional expert to help you 'grow' your enterprise.

To qualify, your business must be connected with produce derived from the New Forest or sustainable land management.

We will help you prepare a current business plan, which demonstrates the need for the expense and gives an indication of the benefit to your business in the event that you receive a Grant.

The South Hampshire Enterprise Agency (SHEA) is delivering this service on behalf of Forest Friendly Farming and, in addition to offering free and confidential business advice to ANY individual or business, will be awarding small grants to qualifying applicants.

For further information please call SHEA on 023 80 788088 in order to make an appointment with a Business Adviser.
